Two towers of the bicentennial
Let Boomers, Zoomers, and Millennial
Celebrate our town without division.
It’s fair to say we’re back to having fun
And hoping that the foul virus is done.
Let’s have a time that’s truly Elysian!
“Without division” alludes to a prime number, specifically 79 in this case as 79th St. runs along Terrace Park. “Elysian” is a reference to the Greek paradise, the Elysian fields. Combined with “fair” and “foul” this tells you that the park has softball fields which eliminates Triangle Park.

The community celebration began in 1972 with many activities scheduled around the beach area at Spring Lake. After painting the water tower in 1976, the committee decided to use it as the theme for the community celebration. Since that time, the celebration is referred to as Tower Days.
Most activities are free with a donation for a Tower Days button. The Lions, VFW, area businesses, city residents, council members and city staff work together to provide a great community celebration.
Carry ins are not allowed at Lakeside Lions Park.
Meets the last Tuesday of the month from January – June, 6:30pm at the Spring Lake Park City Hall. The members evaluate previous events and plan new events each year. If you are interested in being part of the Committee, please contact Kay at the Spring Lake Park Recreation Department at 763-792-7201. Congratulations to the 2021 Button Design Winner - Cora Mealea Tan
